This is a high quality, complete professional restoration of an original early '65 Mustang convertible (some call them '64 and a half). It's a "D" code 289 4bbl car, and features Pwr Steering, Pwr Disc Brakes, Pwr Top, full console, C4 automatic, dual outside mirrors, and more. It's finished in its original colors of Prairie Bronze metallic over a Palomino interior, with a white top and boot cover. The car was taken completely apart, all rust repaired with fresh metal, and professionally reassembled and finished, all with plenty of photos, receipts, and other documentation. Upgrades that were added during restoration include conversion to an alternator, added power disc brakes, upgraded cloth convertible top, seat belts for all, new AR Torque Thrust wheels and Hankook tires, FiTech fuel injection, and more. Paint and body are EXCELLENT throughout, especially the work inside the door jambs, trunk jambs, and under the hood where lesser cars fall down. All chrome, trim, and emblems are new, interior is entirely refurbished (including small details like steering wheel crack repair and repaint in prairie bronze), and everything works, down to the 64.5 factory AM radio that only goes down to "6" on the dial. The car drives out fantastic, and is simply a pleasure to take out cruising. You will be very hard pressed to find a nicer, more complete and well executed early Mustang convertible for what is being asked. Most classic dealers are asking $60-$80k for their early Mustang 'verts in this condition. This is a legitimate #2 condition vehicle, and is ready for you and your family to enjoy for years to come. You would easily spend 2X what's being asked to get another restorable convertible to this level. Trust me, you won't find one nicer for the money than this one.
